Curve-faced wind scorpion, Order Solpugidae, family Ammotrichnidae. They differ from the only other North American family, Erembatidae, in having a rounded rather than straight front to the head and no claws on the 1st pair of legs. Solpugids are also called sunspiders. Although an arachnid like spiders and scorpions, they are in their own order. Most are desert dwellers. Photo Big Bend National Park, TX.
