Okapi (Okapia johnstoni) feeding, displaying its extraordinarily long (35 cm) tongue. This animal is native to the Ituri Rainforest, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is closely related to the giraffe, although it has markings similar to a zebra. Okapis are threatened by habitat destruction and poaching.
