Western Banded Gecko (Coleonyx variegatus), photographed near San Ignacio, Baja Sur, Mexico. True to its name (variegatus), this species has been split into several subspecies based on color markings, with the locality of this individual being in an intergrade zone between San Diego (C.v. abbotti) and San Lucan (C.v. peninsularus) subspecies boundaries.
