Monterey Salamander (Ensatina eschscholtzii) found from southwest British Columbia to extreme northwest Baja California, chiefly west of Cascade-Sierran crest. Color varies greatly, but nearly all have yellow or orange limb bases. Male has enlarged upper lip, tail slimmer and longer than in female. This individual was found in Cambria, California.
