Black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus) and Fallow Deer (Dama dama) at Point Reyes National Seashore, California. Native to the Mediterranean and Asia Minor, Fallow Deer were introduced to the Pt. Reyes area in the 1940s, before the National Seashore was established. The National Park Service plans to remove all non-native deer from Pt. Reyes.
