The Cave Salamander, Eurycea lucifuga, has a large range across the Midwest and Eastern United States. This individual was photographed in the Missouri Ozarks and has an aberrant color pattern. It is partially amelanistic. The species frequents limestone rock areas and can be found above and below ground. This individual was photographed in 2006.
