The Pueblan Milksnake, Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli, inhabits arid scrub desert regions of Puebla, Morelos, and Oaxaca, Mexico. Although non-venomous, its bright coloration might have evolved to mimic the venomous coral snakes. Other races of the species L. triangulum are found from the eastern United States to Central America.
