The Day-flying Hypsid Moth (Chetone histrio) is an almost perfect mimic of the toxic Tiger Longwing Butterfly (Heliconius hecale). It is found mainly in northwestern South America east of the Andes. This specimen is feeding from a bird dropping. Photo taken in Loreto, Peru.
