An orca (Orcinus orca) practices "intentional stranding," a hunting technique that involves ambushing sea lions by rushing up (and even on) to the shore at top speed. This learned behavior, specific to the orcas of Patagonia, is somewhat dangerous for the orcas because of the challenge of getting back to deeper water once stranded. Only about one in five attempts is successful. Valdes Peninsula, Patagonia, Argentina.
