House fly (Musca domestica) pupae with rice hulls from a commercial insectary. These pupae have been killed by the tiny parasitic wasp Muscidifurax raptor, which feeds on, and lays eggs in, fly pupae. Later, the adult wasps will emerge from the fly pupal cases. The parasites are sold in this stage of their development for fly control.
