Text scratched into metal written in British Celtic. The only known surviving words written in British Celtic anywhere. Untranslatable, but written in the Roman alphabet. Possibly a complaint, as is written in the same style as many of the 'curses' found in the Roman Baths. Circa 1st-3rd century AD. Photo via Newscom
