'Arranging for Mass?na's Capitulation at Cornigliano, Near Genoa', 1896. In 1800, the French general Andr? Mass?na was besieged at Genoa in Italy by the Austrians. Mass?na's negotiator finally agreed to evacuate the French army, however if the word capitulation was mentioned or written, Mass?na threatened to end all negotiations.
