鈥楢 visiting dress of mulberry cloth created by Lejeune-Soinard. The skirt is trimmed with two shaped flounces; nearly flat; in the centre of each is a band of chinchilla; surrounded by a sort of castellated Greek design in mauve velvet edged with black. The corsage and sleeves are entirely comopsed of pleats and we find again upon the bodice the trimming of the skirt in a smaller design. Waistband of the mauve; and toque of grey velvet'.(London; England: 1898).From: The Powder Puff [An English edition of "La Mode artistique".; 1898].The Powder Puff Autumn and Winter plate 224London; British Library.
