Hanuman arrives at the palace at Nandigrama outside Ayodhya where Bharata and Satrughna; clad in hermit's clothes like their brothers; sit and wait by the throne on which are placed Rama's sandals. Hanuman tells them that Rama's exile is over and relates all that has happened to them.
