Appio Claudio Pulcro (97 BC - 49 BC); on a diplomatic mission in the service of Lucio Licinio Lucullo; is the presence of Tigranes II of Armenia called the Great (140 BC - 55 BC); ruler of the dynasty of Artassidi and ally Mithridates VI; king of Pontus; who for more than a decade contrasted Rome.
