Brian Houghton Hodgson (1800-94). Bengal Civil Service 1818-44; and scholar and collector of things Nepalese. Hodgson served with the East India Company in Bengal 1818-44; spending almost the whole of his service in Nepal.Three-quarter length; seated in an armchair; the head turned three-quarters to the left.
