Jack Broughton; Jack Broughton (1705-1789). Pugilist / Boxer. Portrait. Recognised as 鈥楾he Father of the English School of Boxing' and as 鈥榯he Father of the Science of the Art of Self-Defense'. He was reigning champion from 1738 to 1752.
