Italian art expert Mauricio Seracini says he is on the verge of discovering a long-lost Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece ' The Battle of Anghiari ' hidden in a secret cavity behind a wall of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence; Italy. October 30;2009. Seracini in his office in front of a detail of Leonardo's ' The Adoration of the Magi '. He used thermographic; ultra sound; ultra-violet and infra-red diagnostic techniques to conclude that only the underdrawing had been done by Leonardo da Vinci; the paint surface having been added later by another artist.
