Back- slaty blue metallic. Vertically olivaceous- this part is abrupt. Sides yellowish fuscous - linged with Salmon. Spots faint at first; blue. All the scales have dusky margins. Dorsal 7 caudal F. dashed with dusky. Rest; fleshy yellow. Head linged with Gold. Eye prominent. Stomach very large; fleshy occupying chief part of abo. cavity. intestine short turn behind stomach. Canal 1/5 shorter than body. It is a tapering tube. no coca. It is an accurate representation in analogy of a trout.' Watercolour and Pen and Ink.
