The pygmy canopy honey. The dental mutilation among pygmies and Bantu peoples of the North-West of Congo-Brazzaville have been motivated by aesthetics, courage and prominence. Long perpetrated by the two ethnic groups, they tend to disappear among the Bantu. On an enormous mahogany tree 50 metres high, the honey-hunter perched on the trunk passes a branch with dexterity. The pygmies are excellent climbers, athletes of the forest who accomplish feats every day in harvesting the honey. Sangha, Congo
