An Armenian-American sponsored refugee camp in Aleppo; Syria; c. 1922. The original image was a postcard used to raise funds for the camp. Assisted by missionaries; these refugees; mostly women and children from the vicinity of Kharpert; Historic Armenia; made needlework to sell; the proceeds from which helped to support them and purchase passage to the United States.
