Rome VICTORIAN: the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II under construction; plan of Giuseppe Sacconi. The intense activities of completion of the work continued for many years: the quadrigae of the Unit and the Freedom were placed on the propilei between 1924 and 1927; while the Altar of the Native land inside of which the Unknown Milite is tumulato; came place in the 4 monument November of 1921 and the last intense activities finished in 1935. The first inauguration took place the 4 june 1911; this photography goes back to February 1906
