Daniel Comboni (1831-1881) founding of the Missions Africans of Verona. Been born to Lemon on the Garda (Brescia) son of poor giardinieri-peasants divenne the first catholic Bishop of Central Africa and one of the greatest missionaries in the history of the Church. He died to Khartoum; Sudan. Beatified 17 5 March 1996 and canonizzato October 2003 from Pope John Paul II in Saint Peter.
