Pierre de Ronsard (1524-85) French poet. From 1558 he was to the court of Carl IX and supported the catholic party during the religion wars. Maximum exponent of the Pl閕ade; supported a literature that was done again to the Greeks and the Latins; the Italian neoplatonism and the petrarchismo. Portrait in a litografia of Delpech.
