GREEK Emilio (1913 - 1994) Pinocchio and the Fairy; 1956. The idea to celebrate Pinocchio to Collodi with a monumental complex was; in 1951; of then the Mayor of Pescia; professor the Rolando Anzilotti that constituted the Committee for the Monument to Pinocchio and invited the greater artists to competition: the 84 scultori that answered; and winners ex aequo were Greek Emilio with this sculpture and Venturino Lucks with the Piazzetta of the Mosaics. Greek was scultore and designer; to title of the chair of sculpture to the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome; city in which he moves after the war; in 1946. Between its greater works; the bronze doors of the Dome of Orvieto; the scultoreo portrait of Pope Giovanni XXIII and this same monument to Pinocchio. In Japan a museum is dedicated to it. It takes part; with Guttuso; Manz? Fazzini; Marine; Sassu and Mazzacurati; of the neorealista group. Collodi; Park of Pinocchio 1956
