Hiroshima: crane of paper (origami) in memory of Sadako; a child who; when it discovered of being sick of leukaemia as a result of the cancellations of the atomic bomb; decided to make 1000 cranes of paper. In Japan the crane is symbol of happiness (Tsuru) and the child was convinced that; the 1000 cranes ended; would be recovered. It unfortunately died before to end the work; and its companions of class decided to continue to omaggiare its memory being continued to make paper crane. Such moving history does so as that today still; in memory of Sadako and for the peace; very many cranes/origami are made and placed to Hiroshima. 2295 Japan To cite in the credit: Fototeca Gilardi/Raffaella Milandri
