The builidng was realized in 1934 by architects Petar and Branko Krsticand housed the Agrarian Bank. From 1948 to 1965; the builidng was used as residence of the Central Committee of the communist party of Yugoslavia. it as well housed the museum of the Revolution of the Peoples of Yugoslavia. After 1990; the building was used in a different way by the ministry of cutlure. While the ground floor now houses a branch of the Museum of Yugoslav History; the third floor is dedicated to the 1992 opened "Museum to the victims of Genocide"a; extension of the museum of the World War II concentration camp of Jasenovac. Nikola Pasic Square was known before as Marx and Engels Square. The name was changed; in 1990.
