Near the zenith (vertically overhead), at springtime, is a group of bright stars shaped like a dipper; this is part of the constellation Ursa Major. Three stars form its handle. One of the stars in the handle seems to be double; in fact, it is two stars side by side: Mizar and Alcor. The Arabs used them as a test of eyesight.
