Sunset view of the Normandy suspension bridge over the River Seine estuary, Normandy, France. The bridge consists of two viaducts at either end, connected by a central span that is supported by a cable stay system (anchored cables bear the weight of the central span). It has a total length of 2141 metres (central span- 856 metres). This double-towered road bridge was completed in 1995 and at the time was the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world.
