Polymeric nanoparticles and cancer cells. The prostate cancer cells shown here have been treated with polymeric nanoparticles to aid new drug delivery methods. This image shows prostate cancer cells interacting with these particles. The aim is to deliver drugs specifically to the tumour. This work was carried out by researchers from the MIT-Harvard Center of Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence (CCNE) centre, USA. Image produced in 2009.
