The Arab Liberation Army (Jaysh al-Inqadh al-Arabi); also translated as Arab Salvation Army; was an army of volunteers from Arab countries led by Fawzi al-Qawuqji. It fought on the Arab side in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

Fawzi al-Qawuqji was born in 1890 into a Turkoman family in the Syrian-Lebanese city of Tripoli; which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. He has been described as Arab nationalism's leading military figure in the interwar period. Pictures From History
