Riccardo II PLANTAGENETO (1367-1400) King of England (1377-1399); son of Edoardo the black Prince; grandson and successor of Edoardo III. In 1381 he faced the revolt of the peasants; appeased with promises and repressions. Control of the parliament of London got rid then from the strait and imposed an authoritarian government (1397) until the rebellion of 1399; than di Lancaster induced it to abdicate in favour of Enrico IV; Tower of 29 London september 1399.
