Apollo; as soon as she saw the called nymph Daphne; daughter of the God-river Peneus; of it fell in love himself. However; being hit from the arrow of lead of Cupid; when he saw the God; he began to escape. Apollo then began to chase it; listing them its powers in order to convince it to stop itself; but the nymph continued to run; until; by now almost jaded; Peneus did not reach near the river; and wondered to the father to help making it to dissolve its form. Daphne was transformed so in bay tree d ? before the God succeeded to having it; sculpture in marble 1622 - 1625
