CLUSONE (Bergamo; Seriana) Clock planetarium built by Peter Fanzago (? - 1589) in 1583 to replace the ordinary become inefficient; located on the Clock Tower; adjacent to the Town Hall which dates back to 1008. Still working with the original mechanism; the astronomical clock marks the hours; the days; the months; the signs of the zodiac; the position of the sun and the moon and the length of daylight and darkness. The three internal disks rotate; while the outer disk which carries the double cycle of twelve hours is fixed. The Roman numerals are arranged counterclockwise.
