MEDICAL GYMNASTICS Mercurial Jerome (1530 - 1606) physician and philosopher; first theorized the application of by medical gymnastics. He was also the author of the first treatise on skin diseases and a major work; perhaps the first ever of Pediatrics. Wrote the treatise 'De arte gymnastica'; 1569.
