AUSCHWITZ The fork next to the gas chamber and crematorium: here was executed the sentence to death of Rudolf H鲞. Rudolf Franz Ferdinand H鲞 made as Hoess or Hoess (1900--1947) German military officer; first commander of the concentration camp of Auschwitz. He was responsible for the rapid construction of the camp and the use of the gas Zyklon B (hydrogen cyanide) in the gas chambers to simplify and speed up the killings.
