INDIANS Cornplanter (Kayethwahkteh or Kiontwogky - Beautiful Lake) great Seneca head of the Alloy of the Irochesi; been born in 1735 from a white trader; John O'Bail and from an Indiana Seneca. He fought the Americans during the War of Independence. But afterwards; along with Red Jacket; he signed the Treaty of Big Tree (the 1797) and Pact of Buffalo Creek with which the Seneca sold all the their territory to the government of the United States.
