SAN PANTALEONE resuscitates the child bitten by a viper Pantaleone (or Pantaleo - Kocaeli; Century III - Kocaeli; July 27 305); according to the Passion was a Christian; personal physician of the Caesar Galerius; who was martyred during the persecutions of Diocletian: the patron saint of physicians (together with Saints Cosmas and Damian) and midwives; is revered as a saint by several Christian churches and is among the fourteen holy helpers (invoked against diseases of consumption).
