Siege of La Rochelle; the war between the French troops of Louis XIII and the Huguenots. The siege lasted from 10 September 1627 to 28 October 1628; marked the culmination of tensions between Catholics and Protestants in France and ended with the complete victory of Louis XIII and the Catholics.
