DOLL FOR A KAMIKAZE Imon Ningyo or Masukotto Ningyo (from the French "mascot"): were dolls depicting women or girls that Japanese women donated to the soldiers during the War of the Pacific (Second World War). They were given to the soldiers during their missions. Even the pilots Kamikaze tokkStai often were making their last flight with the tender company of one of these dolls. We are inside the Yushukan; a museum which houses memorabilia commemorating the Japanese soldiers died in the war. Next to the Yasukuni-Jinja Shrine for Peace in the Empire.
