Vainglory Zeus; wanting to give a king to the birds; looked at them one day because he could choose the most beautiful of all. Then the birds gathered to cleaning. The chough; that he was aware of his ugliness; he went to collect the feathers which had fallen to the other birds and attacked on his back; becoming the most beautiful of all. On the appointed day; the birds appeared before Zeus was about to designate the king; because of its beautiful appearance; when others outraged tore each own wings. So the chough; stripped; returned again chough. This happens to those who live in debt; until the money of others seem to have the big boys; but; when they were returned; return those who were before. Illustration by Arthur Rackham (1867 - 1939) of 'The Chough and Birds' for a collection of Aesop's Fables; 1912.
