BIBLE "Aaron offers several sacrifices;" rites of atonement described in the book of Leviticus. While the High Priest is producing its next ara steaming; in the foreground is realistically represented the sacrifice of a bull: the large animal is kept on the ground with two strong ropes; tied to the horns; they pass through a ring fixed to the ground ; and are then maintained with difficulty by two men; the animal is immobilized so easily slain; and his blood is collected in a basin. Is also sacrificed a ram that is tied close to the bull.
