LIUTERIA statue above the fountain dedicated to Mathias Klotz (1653-1743); a master luthier German Mittenwald; head of a family devoted to the construction of stringed instruments. The monument by sculptor son Ferdinand von Miller (1842-1929); located since 1890 in front of the church of St. Peter and Paul; captures the luthier in natural gesture of giving the finishing touches to one of his violins.
