Profound philosopher; an ardent patriot; scholar and valiant soldier; he sacrificed everything for freedom and greatness of the Fatherland. Veteran of the Five Days of Milan; author of treatises on economics and military theory; the return of the Austrians in 1853; was forced into exile; from which he returned to enlist in the Hunters of the Alps; died leading a bayonet charge; in the arms of his brother Malachi had not seen for six years.
