SAVOY equestrian monument to Carlo Marochetti (1805-1867) dedicated to Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy (1528-1580); opened in Turin in Piazza San Carlo in 1838. The monument; a symbol of the city together with the Mole Antonelliana; is familiarly called by Turin ' horse and bronze b '; in reference to the steed of the leader nicknamed itself (seriously; by his contemporaries)' Head 'd fer'.
