Dioscorides VITAL (1832-1917) pharmaceutical chemist and toxicologist. After participating in the Crimean War and the Italian Risorgimento with Garibaldi; he was appointed as a pharmacist Hospital of Piacenza; and later professor of pharmaceutical chemistry. He was also the author of several essays.
