Santa and Serapio Santa Sabina martyrs. Founded in the second century by a noble Roman family; Sabina; still very young; she was married to Senator Day. Her maid Serapio Syria converted to Christianity and attended with her the environment of the catacombs; where they gathered secretly Christians persecuted by the Roman state. They were captured during a Mass and; since not recanted; were condemned by the prefect Elpidio beheaded in about 126. Germany; engraving of 1900; version Colorized
