HOLIDAYS 'RELIGIOUS The Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a feast of the Catholic Church; the Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations. In it we commemorate the cross on which Jesus was crucified. The feast falls on 14 September in memory of the discovery by St. Helena of the Cross of Jesus; which occurred; according to tradition; on September 14; 320: on that occasion the relic was raised by the Bishop of Jerusalem; who invited the people to worship.
