Hildegard of Bingen (Hildegard von Bingen; 1098-1179) German naturalist and religious; enters the convent of Disibodenberg the young age of eight years; offered to God because of his poor health by their parents Ildeberto of Bermersheim and Matilda of Vendersheim; here you will be educated by Jutta of Sponheim; a young aristocrat who had retired in the monastery. His life was marked by frequent mystical visions that had since age three; through which was ordered by the Lord to speak and write in order to become 'trump of God'. He was a writer; playwright; poet; musician and composer; philosopher; linguist; cosmologist; healer; naturalist; political adviser and prophetess. With his charismatic personality; while enclosed in a sick body; he entertained correspondence with the greats of his time; even the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa; with the same ease with which corresponded with humble laity and lower clergy. Benedictine nun; it is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church; patroness of philologists and Esperanto; the anniversary on Sept. 17; in 2012 he was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XVI.
