The chemistry lab Jv Liebig in Giessen in 1840. Justus von Liebig (1803 to 1873); German chemist; has made important contributions to chemistry for agriculture; the organization of organic chemistry and biochemistry. Since 1824 he has held the chair of chemistry at the University of Giessen; where he organized the first workshop-school in Europe. In 1865 he founded the company to produce Liebig meat extract of his invention; personally choosing to adopt such advertising system to promote the product figurines chromolithographic; issued for the first time in 1872 and soon became coveted for consumers and sought goodies for collectors.
